At Gecko Designs, we think differently than our competitors. It’s true but sounds trite: “we are committed to our client’s success.” Why should we care if our client’s thrive or fail? Either way we get paid the same right? Not exactly.
We need our clients to thrive
Here’s the deal: we need our clients to thrive so that they can continue working with us! It’s pretty simple but it’s also super important and we want our client’s to know. We work hard for our clients and give each project our full attention and dedication. When we see room for improvement, we take action because ultimately, it serves two purposes. It helps ensure the success of the project and gives our clients a reason to continue working with us.
Consider the alternative
Who cares? Just get paid and move on to the next project! Well, that’s a very short-sighted way to think about work. If we just get the job done as quickly as possible so we can get paid and move on to the next project we essentially shoot ourselves in the foot. The project was completed but it could have been so much better. The client got their product but they were never super happy with it. Their organization may not meet its goals and we certainly didn’t impress the client or give them a reason to come back to us. Wouldn’t it be so much better to set ourselves up for more work from the client in the future?
A symbiotic relationship: everyone wins
Let’s get real. We succeed when our clients succeed. We fail when they fail. We work together to find the best possible outcome so our client’s can meet their goals, so we can in turn meet our own goals. “Selfish” is such an ugly word – it’s a terrible trait – but I think it’s a really important and positive in this case. We want you to succeed for selfish reasons – so can too!
